This was part of 'The Natural World' project trying to reflect what is going on in the world.

A2 Pencil Drawing
This is a drawing I did outside of college after my research on 'The Natural World' project.

A3 Pencil drawing
Observational drawing based on nature. This was a three hour drawing trying to capture all
the details of the leaf.

A3 Pencil Drawing 'Wasp'
Observational drawing based on nature. For this I had to take a photo of the wasp so I could
zoom in to try and include as much detail as possible.

A2 Charcoal Drawing
This was done from a photo taken in Dumfries town centre as part of
observational drawing.

A3 Drypoint Print created from the 'Wasp' drawing then painted with acrylic paint.
I thought it would be good to try and get the detail onto a drypoint piece of work.
After running a couple of prints of I wanted to see what it would look like adding
some colour.

A2 Monoprint
This was my first monoprint based on my own style of art work. This is a contemporary piece based on the human body. Some of my art is influenced by Basquiat and Picasso.

A3 Woodcut Print from my project the 'Lunatic Asylum' printed on thin Japanese paper.
After researching printmakers I came across an American artist Elizabeth Catlett. Her
work has been a big influence on this piece of work.

Maquette using grog clay, part of a set of three ceramics pieces for
my project the 'Lunatic Asylum'.  For my finished piece I want to
create a Grayson Perry style vase based on the Lunatic Asylum.

Finished ceramics project called 'The Brain' using grog clay for this. I used my
sons foot as a mould and for the brain I used a blown up balloon. I was trying to
depict how the brain connects to the rest of the body.

myself in this piece of work.

Sketchbook development work for the project 'The natural world'. This was my fourth
concept bringing in words and colour to reflect a tsunami.

Sketchbook development work tor the public art project using the word 'Hope'.
